Metal mesh grating is one product with one real decision: the metal. Whether a spec sheet calls it metal mesh grating, wire mesh grating or steel mesh grating, the geometry is identical — welded mesh at 30 / 40 / 60 mm centers or press-locked close mesh at 11 / 11 mm. What changes is the base metal under that mesh, and that choice follows the environment.

How the metals differ
One Mesh Geometry, Three Material Destinies
1 · The mesh stays the same
Bearing bars and cross bars are joined on the same in-house lines whether the bar stock is stainless, galvanized-ready carbon or black carbon. Pick the metal first; the geometry follows your loads.
2 · Galvanized: zinc does the weathering
Finished mesh panels are immersed in molten zinc by a certified galvanizing partner near our mill — a 2–3 day cycle already counted inside your production window, with coating thickness sampled on every batch.
3 · The metal is the protection
Stainless mesh needs no coating at all — SS304 for general corrosion duty, SS316 where chlorides rule. Black mesh ships oiled for export, ready for your shop primer or galvanizing later.

Stainless, galvanized or black — which metal for my mesh grating?
Pick the metal by the environment, not the mesh: SS304 stainless for general corrosion duty in food plants and washdown areas, SS316 where chlorides or marine air are present, hot-dip galvanized Q235B for outdoor weather exposure, and black mill-finish carbon steel when your project shop-primes or paints on site. The mesh geometry stays the same in every metal.
What is the lead time for metal mesh grating?
Samples ship in 5–7 working days and mass production runs 15–25 working days after drawing confirmation. Hot-dip galvanized panels include the galvanizing cycle inside that window; rush production in 10–15 days is possible with a surcharge — ask in your quote.
Do you accept small trial orders of mesh grating?
Yes — small trial orders are welcome, and mesh grating, treads and covers can ship in one order. Pricing is itemized per m² or per ton in your quote; FOB Tianjin as standard, EXW or CIF negotiable. We do not publish a fixed price list.
