How Fine Is 11 / 11 mm, Really?
Welded grating spans run at 30, 40 or 60 mm centers. Close mesh presses bearing and cross bars onto an 11 / 11 mm pitch — a different order of fineness, drawn to the same scale below.
All four strips are drawn to the same scale — blue bars are bearing bars, gray bars are cross bars. The dashed circle is one heel tip: it drops straight through 60 mm centers, and on the 11 / 11 mm strip it is carried by the bars around it.
What a close mesh keeps on the floor

Public floors, hygiene floors
The same 11 / 11 mm pitch serves two different buyers. Civic floors specify galvanized close mesh so nothing falls onto whatever is below. Food and chemical plants specify SS304 / SS316 close mesh so solids stay on the floor and out of the drains during washdown.

From Notched Bars to a Fine, Flat Panel
1 · Notching & bar prep
Flat bearing bars are notched at a fine, even pitch and cross bars are set into the notches — the geometry that lets an 11 mm grid stay true across a full panel.
2 · Press-locking
The press closes every notch around its cross bar in one cold pass. Each joint is a mechanical interlock: no weld heat, no weld shadow, no distortion between bars this close together.
3 · Galvanizing or stainless finish
Carbon-steel panels go to a certified galvanizing partner near our mill for ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 hot-dip galvanizing — typically 2–3 days, inside your production window. Stainless panels ship in mill finish for washdown duty.
