In trade language “plain steel grating” is used two honest ways, and both are real products off the same lines: plain surface — smooth, unserrated bar tops — and plain steel — bare black mill steel with no coating. 1 · Plain-top Q235B bar
Smooth bar grating starts as Q235B mild steel flat bar, 20×3 mm to 100×8 mm. The unserrated top wipes clean, drains debris and rides flat underfoot — the default interior surface.
2 · Welded into panels
Bearing bars and cross bars are electro-forged at every intersection on our in-house line, then cut and banded to your drawings — a plain style grating panel with no clips to work loose.
3 · Black or hot-dip galvanized
Leave the plain steel bare for site welding and painting, or send it to a certified galvanizing partner for ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 HDG — typically 2–3 days, already counted inside your production window.
